Honest, heartfelt, and uniquely them.

Saying goodbye is never easy. It's a deeply personal journey — one that deserves time, care, and compassion. I’m here to help you honour your loved one in a way that truly reflects who they were.

About me.

Hello, I’m Dan, a qualified funeral celebrant based in Lymington. My normal working areas are the New Forest, Hampshire, Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

For me, this work is both a responsibility and a privilege. To stand alongside people in their grief, and to help shape a farewell that truly honours someone’s life, is something I hold with great care. I bring calm, empathy, and a steady presence to what can feel like an overwhelming time.

With a background in psychotherapy, life coaching, and over two decades of experience in teaching, I understand the importance of being fully present, of listening deeply, and of creating space for both sorrow and celebration.

If you are looking for a compassionate and thoughtful celebrant to help you create a moving and memorable service, I would be honoured to speak with you.

The services I create.

At a time of loss, it can be hard to know where to begin. My role is to walk alongside you — to listen, to understand, and to help shape a ceremony that truly reflects the life, values, and personality of your loved one.

We’ll begin by talking — in person, or online if needed — about the person you’re remembering. I’ll listen with empathy as you share memories, reflections, and the little details that made them who they were. From those conversations, I will craft a unique and meaningful service — written with sensitivity, insight, and, where appropriate, a touch of humour or creativity.

The service can be as simple or as rich as you wish. We might include readings, poems, music, photographs, prayers or quiet moments of reflection. You’re welcome to speak yourself, or I can give voice to your thoughts on your behalf. Whatever shape it takes, the ceremony will be one that feels right — for you, and for them.

My promise to you.

  • A calm, compassionate presence to guide you through the process.

  • A bespoke service that honours your loved one with warmth, dignity, and authenticity.

  • Time and space to talk, remembering what mattered most, and weaving those memories into a meaningful tribute.

  • Help with words, whether you’d like to speak yourself, include readings, or simply have me give voice to your thoughts.
